Saturday 3rd October 2020 – Buxton – 5:00pm – Round 6 of The Chase 2020
The next BriSCA F1 meeting takes place on Saturday 3rd October as we head over to the Derbyshire hills of Buxton Raceway for the first time in over twelve months. The previous meeting was the 2019 Semi Final where we saw Frankie Wainman Jnr (515) take the chequered flag to secure his front row start of the World Final whilst the meeting Grand Final was won by Courtney Witts (180).
After round 5 of The Chase 2020 at the Adrian Flux Arena, Mark “ECL” Sargent (326) extends his lead over 2nd placed Tom Harris (1) to 42 points. Harris yet again endured another nightmare evening at King’s Lynn as he had engine issues for the third King’s Lynn meeting on the bounce.
Both Jake Harrhy (345) and Heat 3 winner Frankie Wainman Jnr (515) leap above Lee Fairhurst (217) to take 3rd and 4th place after Fairhurst not making the trip across to the Norfolk track.
Paul Hines (259) continues to move up the table as he currently occupies 6th place after some good placings at the weekend with Russell Cooper (415) joining Tyrone Evans on 286 points to sit joint 7th place.
Grand National winner Mat Newson (16) had a fantastic meeting and moves into the top 10 as he leaps above Lewis Evans (392) into 9th after a poor outing at Skegness the weekend before.
Other notable movers in The Chase 2020 includes Grand Final winner Craig Finnikin (55) as he sits just outside the top 10 in 11th place with Willie Skoyles Jnr (541) in 12th. Heat 2 winner Charlie Sworder (5) and Karl Hawkins (175) move to 20th and 25th respectively after good results all meeting.
The biggest mover of the round went to Ant Lee (339) as he scored the 5th highest points gain of the series so far with 152 points having played his joker and gained some of his best ever results including his first win which leaves him in 13th place.
